Hi Nevron Support,
How do I align shadow of a 1D shape (NRoutableConnector) when I want to scale up the shadow?
I am currently having issues when I scale my shadow up.
Here are my shadow settings:
I want to programmatically set the shadow.
I tried changing the skew values and I was able to make it align, however, I could not figure out the formula.
Do you have a better idea to solve this issue?
NOV Version used is
22.2.15.12
Thank you very much.

Hi Jan,
Please set the shadow's ScaleX and ScaleY to the same value. If you do that, you won't have to change the Skew values.

Hi Nevron Support,
Thank you for the reply.
I true that setting the X and Y scale to the same value will make the shadow align with the shape.
However, my intention was to limit the shadow within the length of the Connector only, but setting the X and Y Scale to the same value makes the shadow extend outside the connector length.
74% of original size (was 677x337) - Click to enlarge
The only way I could make this work is to adjust the Skew values.
Is it possible to calculate the required skew value to limit the length of the shadow?

Hi Jan,
Thank you for the detailed description of your requirements.
The best way to achieve what you want is to create a custom line shape that consists of two standard line shapes glued to each other via formula expressions. We can create such shape for you as part of our
custom development services
. Please contact us at
support@nevron.com
if you are interested and we will further discuss the requirements and the implementation.
Best Regards,
