Yes, you will be able to use the Server license that comes with the Developer/Designer license for a single client server. If you need to install and deploy to multiple client servers, you will require additional server licenses (for each machine running reporting services).

If you want to deploy your reports to a machine other than your development machine, this can be achieved with the following steps:

-          Copy the NRSVisionServerSetupVS2005.msi or NRSVisionServerSetupVS2008.msi to the report server machine and run the installation.

-          Deploy your reports. Your license is written in the .rdl reports.

"Each person who desires to use the product and to create reports must hold a valid designer license. Each license includes one Developer/Designer license and one Report Server license."

Can I use the Report Server license that comes with the Developer/Designer license on my clients SQL box?

If so, would I use the same license key and the Server setup install?

Thanks again.

Hello TP,

Thank you for your interest in Nevron Gauge for SSRS.

Regarding your question - the Developer/Designer License is a license required for working/developing with the product and creating reports with it. Each person who desires to use the product and to create reports must hold a valid designer license. Each license includes one Developer/Designer license and one Report Server license.

Except the Developer/Designer licenses you need for generating the reports, for the client server deployment you must have server licenses for each machine running reporting services which has Nevron products running on it – the customers Report Servers. There is no restriction on the number of CPUs the server has.

Nevron Gauge for SSRS Additional Report Server License – single server license - $269

Volume discounts apply for the server licensing and we will be glad to provide a customized pricing quote for large number of server licenses.

Regarding the license Subscriptions – the License Subscriptions will provide full year free upgrades to new major versions and patches when they come out.

NOTE - only Developer/Designer licenses can be subject to subscriptions. With the Designer Subscription licenses, you will be able to upgrade all your report projects without additional fees for the Server licenses.

Questions or comments, please feel free.

Kind regards,

Nevron Support Team

Regarding deployment of the Gauge to a client SSRS environment:

I imagine I need to register the control on the clients SQL box, correct?

If so, what are the licensing implications? I mean, will I need another developer/server license to use the Gauge control on a completely different client box? Or is the $599 Developer/Server license all I need for multiple installations.

Thanks in advance,

TP
