Hello Jefferson,

For the security in layout folder you have to add ASP.NET user account, also the users who will want to view the Chart/Gauge have to be members of the WSS_WPG group – if the users are in domain simply add WSS_WPG user for that domain, if the users are local simply add Guest Account (Everyone) for _layouts/Nevron directory.

Hopefully this helps.

Hi. I've set up a gauge on a SharePoint dashboard page. It looks fine on my pc, but when other users on our network try to view the page they get a permission error: The control was unable to generate an image on the server.

I've followed the directions in the error to set permissions for the ASPNET user in the designated temp folder, but the error still occurs. I can't find anything in the documentation about permission requirements.

Would you please help me sort this out.

Regards,

Jefferson
