Hi Ricardo,

We can add a property called MaxDockMargins, which will restrict the maximim area that can be occupied by docked axes (so that the chart plot does not run out of space). Will that do the job?

Best regards,
Bob

Hi Bob,

It's the same with custom range labels and in hierarchical axis also.
If there's a way to know that the char will disappear, I could warn the end user that, if he choose rotate90 for instance, the chart wont fit the windows.

Best regards,
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,

This behavior is by design - in 3D we've allowed the chart to go out of bounds because it's more computationally expensive to fit it than in 2D. You can consider the following:

1. Insert line breaks in the labels.
2. Use custom range labels instead of the standard category labels. That way labels will wrap if they exceed the space of available for the category.

Best regards,
Bob

Hi,

I'm having some problems with FitModes in Custom Axis Labels.

My labels have long names and with AutoScale fit mode it's unreadable.
I tried other and they work fine, the only problem is when the container is to small and the chart are in 2D if I choose rotate90, for instance, the chart will disappear (in 3D it's OK, the labels are only visible to the limits of the container).

It's easy to reproduce my problem, in Nevron Examples - All examples / Axes / General / Axis Labels, just change the labels to bigger labels, choose in X Axis Labels the rotate90 and then reduce the example panel, the chart will disappear. If you change to 3D it will work fine, because it will not try to fit the labels in the window panel.

Regards,

Ricardo Sousa
