Just a quick note to let you know that I have achieved exactly what I want with some devious programming and loading of the data points into the funnel series. In essence what I have done is to load the data-points in but pre-checking to see if I have the one that will "span" or "hit" the neck point (based on percentages and the NeckHeightPercent property of the funnel). If so, I then calculate the required "split" point and then load that data into the funnel as two data-points of the appropriate size in the same colour - but between them I insert a zero value data-point (hence no height affecting the display) and associate with it a custom data label. The "split" data-point has a label associated with the larger portion (1st or 2nd) whilst the other has an invisible label.

You cannot place a custom on the funnel, but you can create a label anchored to a specific model coordinate, however it will be kind of problematic to calculate the exact position if the funnel is in 3D. If it is in 2D the calculation of the position will be simple.

Is it possible to add a label to a Funnel Chart that is not linked to a specific data point in the funnel?

I have been asked to scale the funnel so that the height of the neck matches to the KPI of 40%, and they want the funnel labelling at the neck/funnel joint saying 40% .... that is a fixed label pointing to a fixed point of the funnel that is not linked to any added data point.

I would think that this is not possible, but thought I would ask anyways.
