Numeric Scale

A Numeric scale is a type of scale that is used to represent quantitative data. The numeric scale in the chart and gauge supports linear and logarithmic scales and many options for tick step generation, label formatting, and appearance modifications. Major and minor ticks are also supported.

Best Practices for Using a Numeric Scale

Consistent Intervals
Configure to scale to have consistent intervals (usually powers or multiples of 1, 2, and 5).

Avoid Overcrowding
Ensure label intervals are not too frequent to avoid overcrowding the axis with too many labels.

Choose Proper Formatting
Choose formatting that will not generate very long labels, for example, labels with unnecessary long decimal precision.
