Light and Material Effects

Nevron Chart provides support for the configuration of an advanced light model, that consists of multiple light sources with controllable type, position, and direction. Both light sources and scene objects materials provide controllable ambient, diffuse, specular, and emissive components that define how light sources emit light and how different objects reflect or absorb that light. By utilizing lighting and material effects you can produce more realistic charts, that match better the visualized domain (for example terrain charts), or simply use them to enhance the visual appeal in the case of business and presentation charts.

Best Practices for using Image Filters

Avoid Overuse
lighting effects should not dominate the chart. Subtle effects can add depth and realism without distracting the user from the data.

Improve Contrast
Ensure that lighting effects enhance the contrast between different chart elements, making them easier to distinguish and interpret.
