I have a bar chart that is grouping data by day, and it runs for a month.

My bars have the datalabels being displayed, but they are currently overlapping each other.  Can I avoid this ?

Hello Clare,
Probably the better name for the topic name is “Overlapping Data Labels”.

Yes, you should be able to avoid data labels overlapping by using the Data Labels Non-Overlapping feature. There are a number of properties you can work with so you will need to find the best option for your case. From the Chart Designer, Chart Areas >> Labels, you can enable Initial Positioning and Label Adjustment. Then, from the Values Grouping Editor, configure the properties in the Data Labels Layout tab.

We are providing several examples that demonstrate this feature. You can also take a look at the Help Documentation: http://helpssrsvision.nevron.com/
Chart >> Chart Panels >> Chart Areas >> Labels section

Lut us know if you meet any problems.

Best Regards,
