I am evaluating Nevron's ASP.NET charting control and am primarily interested in its 3D capabilities; in particular, whether or not it is possible to generate a graph such as the one shown in the following link:

http://www.ccesd.ac.uk/images/True3DStackedColumnChart.jpg

(This was produced by the desktop version of SPSS.)

The important thing is that the various blocks of colours are not all the same size: that is, it's not a contour graph with colours at specfic heights but a genuine 3D stacked-column chart.

All advice gratefully received!

Hello Ed,

Yes, you can generate this type of chart with Nevron Chart for .NET.

Nevron Charts providing true 3D and the leading support for XYZ scatter charts.

You can take a look at the online examples:

Manhattan Bar

XYZ Scatter Cluster

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have question or comments.

Here is a screenshot from one of the examples we provide (in the WinForm examples). It shows how you can set transparency (also hide/show specific Bar series) in order so see the bars which are not visible.

You can also rotate the Chart with the trackball tool, similar to the following example: ThinWeb - Trackball Tool

Thanks very much -- that is excellent news. Your screenshot contains the chart I need to make. However, I am developing a web application rather than a WinForms app. Does this type of chart exist for .NET Vision 2012? I haven't managed to find it so far ...

Hi Ed,

Yes, you can have this chart in your web application. The Chart for WinForms and WebForms is using the same API so you can have all charts provided with the WinForm examples in a web application project. There are simply some WinForm examples which are missing from the WebForm sample project.

Have you installed the evaluation of Nevron Vision for .NET?

Once you have the evaluation installed, you can contact the technical support team for assistance on creating the chart in your web application.

Best Regards,
Nevron Support Team

Thanks again. Yes, I have installed the evaluation version of Nevron .NET Vision 2012.1 for VS2012. If you can direct me to the appropriate support contact, I'd be very grateful.
