Hi Nevron Support Team, I am working on creating a Radial Gauge for Wind Direction. I looked at available options for NeedleValueIndicator shapes. But it doesn't have traditional looking needle shape used for Wind Direction (Please see highlighted arrow in attached image to get an idea about the traditional Wind Direction needle shape). Is it possible for you to add similar looking needle shape for Radial Gauges in near future? Thanks.

Hi Bhumi, The gauge needles use "smart shape" technology, which is very similar to MS Visio shapes. This allows you actually define your own shapes and use them instead of the predefined ones. You can learn more about Nevron smart shapes here: http://helpdotnetvision.nevron.com/Presentation_SmartShapes_Smart_Shapes_Overview.html

Thank you for your reply!
It was very helpful to understand NSmartShape and related classes. I read available SmartShape class information and how to create your own shape and add to it to SmartShape group. But I did not find any example related to the creating your own shape.
Do you have any example available that I can use as a reference to create my own SmartShape.
Thanks!

Hi, Take a look at the following book in the help: Framework > Presentation Layer > Smart Shapes It contains all the information you need to construct a smart shape of your own.
